Salt Lake Style
I’m heading to Salt Lake City today for a work conference. While I’m ready for spring in DC, I guess I’ll have to embrace the winter weather again for this weekend. My uniform will pretty much be skinnies, a loose blouse, cardigan, short chunky boots, and of course my faux fur vest. I just can’t get enough of this perfect furry, fun accent. It’s probably the only reason I want it to stay cold out there…

Punch of Red
You know I’d rather go with pink or orange. But recently, red has continued to grow on me. I especially love a bright, saturated red. More tomato than apple. And I’m embracing it even more when paired with soft, pretty neutrals like the metallics, lace, and polka dots below. A punchy combination!

With Valentine’s Day upon us, my friends and family have mixed feelings about the admittedly commercial holiday. On whichever side of the pink and red fence you sit, a day to honor those who you love can be a pretty fun thing! I love taking time to send cards to my best girlfriends, my mom, and have a quiet dinner with my fiancé. But there is that special someone who is often overlooked in the gift-giving department…
