I’m a bit under the weather today, so yes, I’m feeling a little crabby (and crappy too). But that’s not where I’m going with this…
I’m getting pumped for a little blogger adventure this weekend going crabbing on the Choptank River in Maryland. We’ll get to try our hand at catching crabs, learn about the business in the area, and of course get to eat some. I’m ready to get a little dirty, and I don’t think I’ll end up looking as cute as this, but hey, a girl has to be prepared. I’ll share the whole thing, so don’t forget to follow along on instagram!

As a lifelong Marylander, I can’t help but smile at this post! We love our crabs here, that’s for sure, and Old Bay is practically its own religion. I recently saw a recipe for “Maryland-style crab cakes” that didn’t call for the sacred spice and literally guffawed aloud. I mean, was that guy serious?
